It’s time to jump off the hamster wheel of survival, yes?

I remember when my first somatic psychotherapist told me I could find regular ease inside myself through this work. I was doubtful, but also deeply yearning for it, and curious to learn more. Fast forward to now, and I look back at that younger version of myself with so much compassion — at the time I strived for happiness instead of wholeness, and I felt overwhelmed with a lot in life. I knew how to push through it all — (ie how to suffer well), but not how to allow myself to feel a true sense of ease with myself and others. Sound familiar?

I’m here to help you find that sacred inner place that exists somewhere in between your deepest sorrows and most heartfelt joys. I bring what I know (more on that below), and you bring your whole self - skeletons, desires, and all. Together, we can reprogram your nervous system to allow in more joy, connection, abundance, and ease - and tap in the magic that is your life.

My therapeutic approach

I come from the perspective that you are whole as you are, and I believe that your wounds can be access points to your healing. I draw from a range of trauma-informed somatic, depth, gestalt, transpersonal, eco, behavioral, and psychodynamic therapy modalities.

I’m big into Internal Family Systems or “parts work,” because I believe that it is incredibly healing for our relationships. Most of the time that we are in conflict with ourselves or others, our subconscious brain is being triggered from past experiences. When this happens, we are not in a regulated state to be able to deal with what is ‘up’ very well. Parts work helps us to re-pattern our nervous systems through integrating/reparenting stuck younger versions of ourselves into more adaptive, adult versions of us. When we do this, we have access to more of our compassion, creativity, flexibility, and ability to see multiple truths at once.

In addition to parts work, I utilize a healing technique called Brainspotting to release acute and chronic trauma from the subcortical brain, which is responsible for motion, consciousness, emotions, and learning. I also integrate techniques from the mindful and somatic modality, Hakomi, and bring in practices from Peter Levine's work with Somatic Experiencing. I include some of Donald Epstein's work with Somato Respiratory Integration, and use guided meditations adapted from the teachings of Richard Miller and Swami Satyananda. It’s profound how supportive these practices can be for releasing stuck parts of your nervous system below your conscious mind and helping you feel more integrated.

Lastly, I’m influenced by Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estés teachings on the feminine principle and the Wild Woman archetype. I love sacred feminine ritual, and have nearly two decades of study in social and transformative justice, and yoga and non-dualism. My hope is that through utilizing these integrative approaches, I can help you release old wounds that cause limiting narratives, and integrate lessons that come from difficulty.

I can support with…

  • shifting out of a go-go-go mindset and lifestyle, into one that feels more easeful and present.

  • transitioning through major life events…breakups, moves, engagements, marriage, pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum, abortion, miscarriages, death of a loved one, and any other big woah moments.

  • healing acute and chronic trauma (relational, sexual, physical and/or systemic)

  • cultivating relational intimacy

  • releasing fear, shame, guilt, anxiety, depression, and anxiety, and calling in trust and contentment

  • learning to listen to and trust your intuition

Stories that rise from deep suffering can provide the most potent remedies for past, present and even future ills.
