If you are looking for a therapist who is down to earth, relational, fiercely compassionate, and direct, I may be your gal. I can hold the messy stuff, honor resilience, facilitate transformation, and celebrate everyday magic with you.

I’m content with life these days, and grateful for the grace that I’ve learned to cultivate through life’s underworld-like moments. As your therapist, I see it as an honor to meet you as you are, and to support you through whatever you are swimming through.

I light up around the themes of connection, intuition, and integration, as they help us come alive, and allow us feel at home in our own skin, and with loved ones.

After dedicating nearly two decades exploring somatics, spirituality, relational healing, and social transformation in the SF Bay Area and overseas, I now live in Oceanside, CA with my husband and son, and am nourished through communing with family, friends, and a deep love affair with the ocean.

Education & Clinical Experience

My formal education includes a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies, “Comparative Approaches to Education and Social Change,” from the University of California, Berkeley, and an M.A. in Counseling Psychology with emphasis in Somatics, from the California Institute of Integral Studies. I have completed extensive supervision with various somatic practitioners in Hakomi, Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems (parts work), and have trained in Brainspotting, a trauma healing modality targeted at healing neurophysiological sources of emotional/body pain.

Much of my formal training as a therapist took place at the Center for Somatic Psychotherapy and the Center for Mindful Psychotherapy, both sliding scale trauma-focused counseling centers in San Francisco. I’ve also supported youth as an arts and somatics counselor and educator at Bay Area elementary and high schools, and supported teen girls transitioning from childhood to adolescence through rites of passage work with the Stepping Stones Project.

My most heartfelt work took place in the heart of the Pandemic, when I co-facilitated a surf therapy program for grief and loss that was filmed by National Geographic. The program centered my co-facilitator, Kelsey Ellis and her personal story with grief. This work evolved out of a former partnership with Groundswell Community Project. I continue to be inspired by the healing power of the Ocean, and I weave water metaphors into therapy, both in and out of the Sea.

In addition to training as a therapist, I have completed 500 hours of yoga teacher training, been a devoted student of traditional Mysore style Ashtanga Yoga, and taught Vinyasa and Hatha Yoga at several studios for over a decade. I’m also a certified Reiki Master and an intuitive, witchy woman.

Send me a note if you want to feel more integrated. Together, we can expand your range, nourish your sense of compassion, and tap into your depth, so you can walk in your own shadow and also stand brightly in the sun.
