Who I Am

As a therapist, I’ve been described as down to earth, fiercely compassionate, and dropped in. I’m a California water bug with an East Coast type of directness. I can hold the messy stuff, honor resilience and also celebrate the magic of life with you.

Over the last 11 years, I've immersed myself in the study of the yoga tradition, meditation, shamanic studies, transpersonal, somatic and Jungian psychology as well as reiki energy work out of the desire to reclaim my sense of embodiment and inner knowing.  My passion for healing and the mind-body connection lead me to the California Institute of Integral Studies where I completed my M.A. in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Somatics. Today my heart is fueled by my continued study these intersecting traditions both in the Bay area and overseas.

I have worked at the Center for Somatic Psychotherapy - a sliding scale trauma-focused counseling center in downtown San Francisco and as an arts and somatics counselor at Bay Area elementary and high schools. Today I work in a private practice setting through the Center for Mindful Psychotherapy and teach surf therapy to girls and women through the Groundswell Community Project. I also partner with the Gyals network and companies including Facebook, Uber and more to facilitate self-care and mindfulness workshops and courses.

If you have come to help me, you are wasting our time....but if you have come because your liberation is bound up with mine, then let us work together.
